Fred Brown Obituary

Fred H. Brown

September 21, 1946 - March 26, 2025

Burleson, Texas - Fred H. Brown, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

Memorial Service: Saturday, April 12 at 10 a.m., at First United Methodist Church of Burleson.

Born on September 21, 1946, in Austin, Texas, Fred was the son of the late James G. and Hazel Brown. In 1958, his family moved to Burleson, where he graduated from Burleson High School in 1965. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1972 during the Vietnam War.

Fred built a legacy not just in business but in the lives he touched. In 1969, Fred founded Fort Worth Crushed Stone, where his leadership was marked by authenticity and generosity, and he was well respected by those who worked alongside him. Fred was someone you could always count on- genuine, humble and good to the core. Fiercely independent, he tackled things his own way and, with his uncanny humor, reminded us to find joy even in tough times. Fred will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son Shane & Laurel Brown; grandchildren Maci Brown and Hanna & Brady Cluck; siblings Gayle Juraschek and Ronald G. Brown; niece Sara & Jordan Rechis; great nephews James, Evan, Pol and Joseph; his Fort Worth Crushed Stone family; and many cherished friends.

Memorial gifts can be made to be made to Spinal Cord Society.
