Acworth, Georgia - Fred Murphy, 89, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024, in Acworth, GA. Fred dedicated 44 years to Mrs. Bairds Bread before concluding his career with 7 fulfilling years at The Home Depot.
Fred was a kind, generous, and quiet man who always had a smile on his face and a willingness to help anyone in need. His hobbies included bowling, which he pursued passionately until the age of 84, and active membership in the Sons of Herman Lodge until his relocation to Georgia.
Fred is survived by his daughter, Lisa Schick, and son-in-law, Matthew Schick; sisters, Helen Lemrick and Norma Norman, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucy Murphy, the only woman he ever loved, and his sons, Rick and Jeff Murphy.
A graveside service will be held on September 13, at 12 p.m. at Laurel Land, 7100 Crowley Road Fort Worth, 76134. Fred's life and legacy will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
