Gail Viele Obituary

Gail Elaine Viele

March 12, 1959 - September 27, 2024

Colleyville, Texas - Gail Elaine Viele, beloved wife and mother to two children, passed away at her home in Colleyville, TX on Friday, September 27th, at the age of 65.

Gail was born in 1959 in Inglewood, CA, to Wendell and Helen Thompson and spent her childhood in Palos Verdes, CA. Gail graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and later received an MBA from California Lutheran. She went on to work in finance for GTE, where she would meet her husband, Kendall.

Gail married Kendall in 1992 in Hawaii. They had two sons, Jacob and Matthew. Gail enjoyed traveling with her family, especially on road trips across the country.

Gail retired from GTE to be a stay-at-home mom in 1999. She kept busy by diving into her love of reading and volunteering at Bransford Elementary School and the Colleyville Public Libraries. Gail was very crafty and expressed her creativity through scrapbooking and making greeting cards.

Gail's positive and supportive outlook on life will be missed. She did everything she could for her family and friends. In celebration of Gail's life, a private service will be held in Maui, Hawaii.

Gail, your passing came way too soon. You will be sorely missed. Eric and I REALLY enjoyed your visit to FL in April. As always you were upbeat and optimistic despite the circumstances. You inspired us all. We love you. We miss you.
