Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Community Missionary Baptist Church, 1125 E. Jessamine St., Fort Worth, with the Rev. R.J. McGinty officiating.
Mr. Ashley was born Feb. 11, 1953, in Selma, Ala. He was a 1971 graduate of Green B. Trimble Technical High School in Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George C. Ashley and Mary Frances Ashley; a son, Micah Ashley; and uncle, the Rev. William M. Ashley.
Survivors: Sons, George C. Ashley III and Brian C. Watson; brothers, Brian P. Ashley (Pam) of Crowley, Robert W. Ashley (Freda) of Palatka, Fla., and Charles Montgomery of Galveston; sisters, Georgetta Lewis of Houston, Sharon Ashley-Fuller of Arlington, Deloris Kim Kelly (Cedric) of Houston and Donna M. Ashley of Missouri City; uncle, Johnnie L. Ashley of California; 14 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of cousins in Texas, Florida and California.
