George Crittenden Obituary
April 8, 1924 - April 12, 2023
Fort Worth, Texas - George Earl Crittenden, 99, of Fort Worth, TX passed away April 13, 2023. He was born in Fort Worth, TX on April 8, 1924.
George graduated from Pascal High School and received a degree in theology from Bible Baptist Seminary. He was married to Edith Martin on February 16, 1951.
George pastored Temple Baptist Church for 35 years and built Temple Christian School and Temple Days Daycare. He was a member of World Baptist Fellowship and a Salvation Army Auxiliary, and had a passion for Jesus, people, and missions.
George is survived by his wife, Edith; children, George Crittenden and partner, Curtis Gilbert, Ben Crittenden and partner, Marc Robles, and Dana Fox and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Courtney Laugio, and husband, August, Stephanie Fox; great grandchildren, Verona Laugio, Evenelle Laugio, and Ransom Laugio; and a host of relatives and friends.
A visitation for George will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel and Cemetery, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76112. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Temple Baptist Church, 6824 Randol Mill Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76120 followed by a committal service at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery 12:00 PM, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, TX 76112.

George was a very important party of my family' life. Baptisms, weddings and funerals Bro. George and Edith were always there for the family and remain in my thoughts and prayers for ever. God blessed him with a long life.

Although it has been a year. George Crittenden is in my thoughts daily. My sister and I often talk about all the life events that George and Edith were there with us, which were many. I miss the phone conversation with him and Edith that we had the last few years. I am sure he is resting with the heavenly father now.

Brother George loved the Lord and his mission was to lead as many others to the Lord as well so they would know HIS blessings of salvation. My daughter and I are two of those fortunate people out of multitudes.
And we are so thankful to have known Brother George and Edith and many of the members of Temple Baptist church and Temple school. We are Praying that Edith and the family will find comfort, strength and peace through God's mercy.

Sad to hear of George´s passing. We have been friends since 1948 while students at Bible Baptist seminary. He had a real passion for helping people and their salvation. Praying for Edith and the family. Going to miss him.

The Cavitt Family was so blessed to have George & Edith in our lives for so many life events and services at the orginal Temple Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and served him faithfully. Will be remembered by many.

I believe George and Edith would visit in the nursing homes that my mother lived in. They would give her magazines and visit with her even though she had dementia. I thank God for your ministry there and your kindness to MANY who are forgotten. God loves you.
