Glenn Reynolds Obituary

Glenn Reynolds, 69, died on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday at Greenville Oaks Church of Christ, 703 S. Greenville Ave., Allen. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to Southeastern Children's Home, www.sech.org; Continent of Great Cities, www.greatcities.org; or Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org. Glenn was born Feb. 23, 1942, in Trinidad, Colo., to Bert and Maureen McDaniel Reynolds and was raised in Clovis, N.M. He received his bachelor's from ACU and his MSW from Michigan State. Glenn worked for nearly 40 years as a social worker in Christian child care, including Christ's Haven for Children in Keller, receiving special recognitions including from the National Association of Social Workers and the Christian Childcare Association. Glenn was an active member of Churches of Christ all of his life. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He spent countless hours taking his boys on special trips, coaching their Little League teams and serving as their biggest fans. In his later years, he loved watching his grandkids in their various activities. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Maureen McDaniel Reynolds. Survivors: His wife of 45 years, Donna Glisson Reynolds; sisters, Carol Frost and Donna Hester and families; son, Scott and wife, Sharla; son, Kevin and wife, Debra; son, Bert, his wife, Paige; and five grandkids.

Our family ties go back for 37 years, when you and Glen lived in the Childrens Home of Amarillo. Then again renewed in the '80's & '90's at FWC. Donna we are so sorry for your loss & the boys too. -- Mike & Cheryl Smith
