Glenn Turner Obituary

Glenn Adrian Turner Jr.

January 2, 1932 - April 22, 2024

Burleson, Texas - Glenn was a man of great faith. He was gentle, kind and compassionate.

He served in the United States Air Force as Military Police for 4 years. After his service he attended Baylor University and worked as a Licensed Physical Therapist in the Fort Worth area for over 45 years. Later in his career he specialized in Geriatric Therapy, helping those who suffered age related injuries and deficits, regain their mobility and independence. Because of his training and background, he instructed the daily exercise and stretching classes at his home of 9 years, Heritage Place Assisted Living up until a week before his passing.

Glenn valued a healthy body, and in turn spent his younger adult life as a professional Body Builder, winning the title of Mr. West Texas in 1955. He continued to exercise by building a weight gym at their homestead. The normal routine at the Turner household was after dinner, we all headed to the gym for our workout under the training of our father. As the years and aging process took its toll on him physically, he continued some form of exercise routine until his passing. He also enjoyed restoring old sports cars and driving his infamous restored Triumph TR6 with the top down, and Beth in the passenger seat.

He was predeceased by His beloved wife and sweetheart of 64 years- Beth Annette Turner; his sons Glenn Turner III and Chris Turner; Parents Kathyrn and Glenn Turner and many other loved ones. He is survived by his twin daughters and their husbands, Leigh and Bryan Edmonson, Lisa and Terry Scruggs, and his sister, Michelle Wilson.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Place, who loved and cared for him greatly. He loved each one of them as his own.

A Memorial Service will be held on June 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Heritage Place Assisted Living and Memory Care, 621 Old Highway 1187, Burleson, TX 76028

Lisa and Leigh, So sorry for the loss of your father. I had the highest regard for Glenn. He was so knowledgeable in physical therapy, yet he was also very compassionate with every patient. He was truly one of a kind. I also learned to love the twins, and I hope you are well! Tom Rapp
