Grover J. "Mac" McElvain, 77, went to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, April 25, 2010, after a brief battle with cancer.

Mac was well known for his strong commitment to God, family and country. He served 20-plus years in the U.S. Air Force, which included tours of duty in Vietnam and Korea. Upon completion of his military service, he moved his family to Texas where he and his wife received ministry training from Arlington Baptist College. Bro Mac was also my youth pastor in Everman, TX. He always believed that God could do a work in my life and thanks to Him and God I am actively involved in church with my family. I am very thankful for the impact he made in my life and subsequently my family benefits from his and Mrs. Macs' teachings in a teens life.
