Guadalupe Mendoza Obituary

Guadalupe Camarillo Mendoza, 72, surrounded by her family, went peacefully into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. Service: We invite all to come and celebrate her life and legacy at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at Decatur Avenue Baptist Church, 3715 Decatur Ave., Fort Worth. Mrs. Guadalupe Mendoza was born Dec. 12, 1941, in Coahuila, Mexico. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was known for having a big heart and a great smile. She was recognized last year as one of the longest-surviving dialysis patient in Tarrant County for 28 years. Being a hard worker, she was employed at numerous jobs to provide for her children. Her last job was as a crossing guard for elementary schoolchildren for the city of Fort Worth for several years, which she truly enjoyed. Lupe was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Mendoza Sr.; and her eldest son, Reynaldo Villa Jr. We will always carry her memory in our hearts. Survivors: Children, Robert Villa and wife, Maribel, Adela Cruz and husband, Emiliano, Teresa Saldivar and husband, Richard, Victoria Rodela and husband, Mark, Joe Mendoza Jr., Anthony Mendoza, Gloria Harding and husband, Rick, and Luis Mendoza; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
