Guy Richard Bowman was born Aug. 13, 1952.
My father grew up in Arlington. He spent many years in the hospitality industry and eventually progressed to his real love, which was electronics. He was a kind-hearted man with a wonderful sense of humor and he will be missed greatly.
Thank you from Guy's family.
Survivors: Mother, LaVonne Bowman; daughter, Shawna C. Bowman-Ogletree and husband, Brett; nephews, Leo and Don; and various other relatives in Texas, Louisiana, Nevada and California.

Guy was not only my cousin, he was my friend for over 25 years...I miss him so so deeply already. It breaks my heart...but I know he is with our Lord and our other loved ones who have gone before us and I know he is watching over each and everyone of us. I miss him deeply!I know Guy's bright smile is shining in heaven and he would not want us to be sad...but I miss him so so much, it is hard not to be sad right now. He had a loving heart and loved his family very much. He sent me at least "500" pictures of Shawna's wedding! We often talked about her and Aunt LaVonne during our middle of night conversations..."Green Onions" will always remind me of him and his great sense of humor. Connie

Shawna & LaVonne,
I just heard about Guy, and I am so sorry to hear the news. He truly had a heart of gold so full of love for both of you. To see his smiling eyes in the picture reminds me of all the goodness that always overflowed from him. He was a man of faith dedicated to his family, and I am comforted in knowing that he will be watching from above.

My deepest, heartfelt sympathy goes out to you. Guy and I have been friends since junior high. From Arlington to California we maintained loving support for each other and I will always cherish that friendship. Shawna, your dad loved you so much. I can't remember anything he ever shared more proudly and lovingly than details and photos of your wedding.

Guy. What a sweet, sweet man. Seeing your picture here and that beautiful smile you had for all of us at UTA every day. You always brightened the mood and the day when you were around. Peace to you and your family.

My husband, Del, and I became friends with Guy when Guy and I worked at Candlelite Inn. He also worked for us several times repairing rent houses, as well as our home. Guy and I learned how to install new doors and tile. He did get a bit upset with me when I made a pattern for the tile causing us to cut it out backwards. We overcame little glitches and admired our work.
Guy was a dear friend and we'll miss him.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Guy had a heart of gold and will be sourly missed. I am sure he was greeted by his daddy and brothers, and we too shall meet again. He has been one of my brothers dearest friends for it seems like my entire lifetime. Heaven has a new angel tonight and he is smiling down on us all.
