We just learned of the passing of Rev. Fort and we offer our condolences to the family. We first met Rev. Fort when we moved to the Dallas /Fort Worth area. We attended his church and on September 24th 1988 he presided over our marriage ceremony and pronounced us man and wife. We mourn his passing and send prayers of peace and rest to Sister Fort.

To Sister Fort and family we were saddened to hear of the passing of Pastor Fort. He was so welcoming when we visited the church with my son. We will always remember his melodious voice and big smile, but most of all we will remember how supportive and encouraging he was to our son during a difficult time in his life. We are praying that you take comfort in the Lord's love and know that you are never alone. He walks beside you even in your darkest hour. May God bless and keep you as you face the days ahead.

A great friend and former classmate at Union Hill High School in Bettie, Texas during the early 1970s. He will be sorely missed - especially at Homecoming Ceremonies at Bethlehem Baptist Church each July! A true warrior indeed!

As a neighbor, a "couple" years ago now Harold and his family woke me up on Sunday mornings with the most wonderful gospel singing as they loaded their car for church. I have bragged often to others of their beautiful harmonized voices from back then. However, I was glad, I and my children did'nt have to leave that early for our church.
Also, I always think of Harold when I see or eat Banana Nut Bread, his was the best.

My deepest condolences to the Fort family. Harold was my supervisor years ago at Ford Motor Credit Co. He helped me to develop and find my way at Ford Credit when I thought it was too much for me. He was firm but very fair to me. I pray for peace and comfort for you during this time.

I knew Harold when he was in college at ETSU in Commerce. He was a loyal member of FBC Commerce where he often sang solos at church and led music for Wednesday services at Oak Manor Nursing Home. He was full of joy and had a big, grazioso smile.
