Mr Haley, Laura and family:

I am so sorry for your loss. Though I know Mrs Haley battled health challenges for years, it is never easy to lose the ones you love. Please know I am with you in spirit and am praying that the peace of God will guard your hearts and minds as you grieve the loss.

I also want you to know that I believe Mrs Haley had profound impact on others, because she certainly did on me. I remember the motherly love in which she took me in when Laura and I were roommates at college. I recall the gentle smile and the welcoming embrace when I traveled with Laura to your home. She made me feel like one of her own. I will never forget the pride shown by you two and my parents when Laura and I graduated. It was as if each family had two daughters graduating.

One of my favorite memories was entering the Haley home after fresh veggies had been picked from the garden and were being prepared for dinner! Boy, could that woman cook!!! In fact, her cooking became the "gold standard," and still, even when I'm fed a really good meal, nothing compares to Mrs Haley's!

So, I know you miss her...and I do too. I join you in your grief, but I also join you in looking forward to the day when every child belonging to Jesus Christ will one day reunite, and will see Mrs Haley again. Who knows...perhaps God will put her in charge of cooking at the big banquet!

I love you all and am praying that each of you will know the grace, comfort, and sufficiency of the Lord in deepest measure. Ephesians 3:14-19

With love,
Kym
