Jack Franks Obituary

Jack Franks, 78, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, in Granbury.

Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Granbury Church of Christ.

Memorials: Hood County Cancer Society or Cherokee Home for Children, Box 295, Cherokee, Texas 76832.

Mr. Franks was born March 26, 1924, in Gatesville to Isaac and Maude Scott Franks. He married Florence Hannah on June 19, 1980. He had lived in Granbury for seven years and was formerly of Brownwood and Lampasas. He served as song leader at Broad Street Church of Christ in Lampasas, Austin Avenue Church of Christ in Brownwood and Granbury Church of Christ.

Survivors: Wife, Florence Hannah Franks of Granbury; children and spouses, Linda and Jim Gamble of Lewisville, Mark and Nelda Franks of Brownwood, Lisa and Mark Strickland of Arlington, Kathy and Ron Brayton of Lewisville and Chris and Lori Franks of Fort Worth; stepchildren and spouses, Bobby and Deann Colvin of Brownwood, Leslie and Joey Milan of Granbury, Susan and Greg Gant of Plano and Toni Pfluger of San Angelo; sister, Lehman Baize of Altus, Okla.; sister-in-law, Edna Chapman of Groveton; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
