Jack H. Germaine, 72, a retired marketing manager for Univac, passed away peacefully Monday, March 22, 2004, at a local hospice.

Graveside service: 11 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane B.

He received his bachelor of science degree in mathematics and psychology from the University of Illinois. A contractor for NASA for many years, he worked on the Gemini, Apollo and space shuttle programs. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Jack was my neighbor and friend in Destin. We shared stories and he often helped me when I needed it. Of course, I didn't have to even ask. I felt he watched over me.
