Our condolences to Kayren, Rachel, Kevin, Jill and all who loved Jack. The funeral was such a heartfelt tribute to his life. We're grateful to his friends and family for the warm welcome while we were in Texas.

The service was such a beautiful celebration of Jack. I was moved by the stories shared, the people that came together and the military touches in the ceremony. I am deeply sorry for your loss, Kayren; for Jill, Kevin and Rachel - who lost their daddy; and for Grace and the boys who lost their Papa. Jack will be missed by all of us, for sure.

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of Jack. I enjoyed visiting with Jack and getting to know you all when we all gather. He was a man who certainly loved his family--that was very obvious. My prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My memories of Jack go back to college but especially to my seeing him afterward in England in the castle he commandeered as a quartermaster for himself and his buddies. What a wonderful sense of humor he had! My adolescences to you Kayren and to the rest of the family. Robert J. Alpern, M.D.

I did not have the honor and privilege to know you Jack, but I feel like I do though your daughter Jill. She is one of the most wonderful work colleagues that I've had the privilege to work with and I know that a lot of her great accomplishments, kindness and smarts are a result of your nurturing, guidance and love. There has always been a sparkle in Jill's eyes when she speaks of you and her family and I know that will continue.
