Jack Risher McClintock Jr., 79, died from pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, in Arlington. Celebration of life: A remembrance service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with Fr. Richard Moseley officiating. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to the Humane Society of North Texas, 1840 E. Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76103. Jack was born on Feb. 3, 1936, in Waco to Jack Risher McClintock Sr. and Fey Elinor Parker McClintock. His mother was a longtime garden page editor of the Waco Tribune-Herald and his father was a sales rep for independent grocers in the area. After graduating from Baylor University with a degree in geology, Jack served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve for six years. He went to work for the Defense Materials Service of the General Services Administration in 1960 and ended his career as an area utilization officer for the same agency in 1995. He moved to Arlington in 1964, and here his children, Kathleen and Wade, were born. Jack was an excellent carpenter and mechanic, and loved classic cars. His youthful years spent hunting and fishing in the Brazos and Bosque rivers and Lake Waco left him with a lifelong love of the outdoors. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Fay; and in 2014 by his son, Wade McClintock. Survivors: Wife, Lina Lewis McClintock, whom he married Jan. 21, 1961, in Waco; daughter, Kathleen Depweg and husband, Leonard; and grandson, Jackson Burnett. He was extremely proud of all of them.
