Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Pleasant View Baptist Church. Burial: West Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home.
Jack's memberships include Pleasant View Baptist Church, the Masonic Estelle Lodge of Euless, the Masonic Lodge of Chico and 32nd-Degree Scottish Rite. He was also a lifetime member of the Chico VFW.
Survivors: His wife of 59 years, Idell; son, Cordell Swindle and wife, Linda; daughter, Evelyn Edington and husband, Wilton, all of Bridgeport; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.
