Both parents preceded her in death. Her grandmother was Mrs. W.J. Brewer of Fort Worth. She was also preceded in death by her aunt, Grace Bockman, and her husband, Joe, of Roswell, with whom she spent many happy summers as a child. Jackie and Ed met and fell in love at Texas Christian University, where they were members of Phi Sigma Iota and Alpha Chi honor societies. She graduated magna cum laude in 1951. Ed and Jackie were married in Fort Worth on Dec. 6, 1952. They moved to Houston, where they pursued their careers for more than 30 years before moving to Roswell. Despite her illnesses, Jackie was known for her quick wit, elegance and graciousness. Her close friend and special compadre, Michael Schnapp, brought much laughter and comfort to her life. She will be greatly missed by all those who were recipients of her love and generosity throughout the years. Ed extends special thanks to Dr. Daniel Raes, Dr. John Dalton and Dr. Vijay Chechani for their loving care of Jackie. He also thanks and appreciates her faithful caregivers at home, Frieda, Faylena, Aracely, Debra and Patricia. Survivors: Her husband of 57 years, W. Edwin Ball; dearly loved nieces and nephews, James A.
