Dearest Doris, You had the most kind and loving husband. I just love the picture of him presented here, with that warm smile of his. I can smell and taste those cookies right now ;-)

Aunt Doris,
I am so sorry to hear about Uncle James. I have been praying for you. I miss you alot. And, I will miss Uncle James with his smile and his great big cookies. James you were the first to greet me when I came to Carter Rehab. You were there by me explaining how many times you had been through this drill and it would be all right. I worked side by side you as I learned to exercise. You kidded with me and all the ladies that were so nice to us. You left for the pool and I followed a few days later. It was such a joy to see you there. I miss you and your kind manners so very much. It was you that helped me stay and exercise. I think of you daily.

Uncle James,
You, Uncle Larry and Uncle Charlie are the men in my life who made me into the man I am today. I never thank you for the leadership you provided. You made me feel special and like your son even though I was only your nephew. I will miss you and those great cookies. I am proud to be nephew and that you got to see me get married and have kids. I will always miss you!

Uncle Welly, your caring & loving person will be missed by all who knew you. I remember you & us kids playing ball in the street late at nite (seems like Uncle Larry would somehow always get stung by scorpion & that would end the game).

I remember that you could always be counted on to be a faithful, loyal, caring & available presence to all your family & friends & Army buddies, & would always try to keep in touch, no matter the time or distance between you.

Mostly, I will always remember & be grateful that you were my Uncle Welly.

Love, Sharon Ann

Bubba, you and Larry were the first people I met when hiring in at the T&P railroad almost 38 years ago. You had your own brand of wisdom...some of which I still use today. God grant peace to your family and friends. I do miss those "COOKIES"!!!!!! God has healed you and you are now in His presents! Well done!
