Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday, First Baptist Church, Brenham. Visitation: Prairie Lea Cemetery, Brenham. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham.
Memorials: charity of donor's choice.
Jim was on the 1969-1970 national championship University of Texas football team. He had been named scout of the year for the Texas Rangers and the San Diego Padres. He was a member of the University of Texas Ex-Student Association.
Survivors: Parents of Brenham; wife, Teresa of Keller; five children; three sisters; and one brother.
