James Lewis Winfrey, Jr... when I acknowledge Black History month, I'm so grateful to God for this gift who came into my life at the age of 12. He treated mom the best. I'm blessed to be able to call James L Winfrey, Jr. my father. He stood by and supported me in all aspects of my life from childhood into adulthood. James was there with me since day one as pastor of OAOL until the end of his race. We're thankful for the manifestation of Christ that you demonstrated. The many lessons learned through actions and dialogue, the great example, light, mentor, leader, and provider for our family that you were (amongst many more attributes) - for that, you will always be remembered. Thank God for blessing me to experience the best father for me. Always loved...

My "Big" brother has always been the gentle giant with a big heart & soul. I will always remember how he would not tell me what I wanted to hear, but tell me what I needed to know. I will miss having conversations with him on faith, spirituality, politics, and sports. He has always been there for me and my family through rough times and joyous times, while always being the "Comforter" with sincere and straight words of wisdom. Truely one of the best I've ever met. I enjoyed all of my many talks with James. He was nothing but a positive influence to everyone that came across him. I can't even start to tell you how much he impacted my personal life as well. Always there to share his knowledge and wisdom. James, you will be celebrated and missed. James was loved dearly by his Fedex family, Ive missed seeing and visiting with him since his retirement. Most of us found out to late on Thursday to attend but please know our hearts are aching as we feel an incredible loss. Most of us all had to work Friday so were unable to attend. I downloaded comments from my Facebook hoping his family will see. May God hold his family up!
