Jason Whisenant Obituary

Jason Whisenant
December 23, 1976 - May 30, 2022
Arlington, Texas - Jason Edward Whisenant (Wizard), age 45, of Arlington, Texas passed away Monday, May 30, 2022. Jesus opened his arms for Jason after a long and courageous battle with illness.
Jason grew up in Arlington where he attended Martin and Arlington High Schools. Jason a.k.a. Wizard was a talented musician. He was the front man and performed with many bands beginning in Jr. High and continued his music throughout his life. Wizard loved writing music and singing with the band. He had a magnetic stage presence and had fans and friends that came to see him perform from Dallas, the west coast to Atlanta. Jason loved life and never met a stranger. Jason was a hardware man working at Home Depot, Lowes, and Ace Hardware.
He loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that Jason is now at peace surrounded by light in the presence of God. He is survived by the love of his life Traci Saldivar; Mother, Donna Carney Patterson (Larry "Pop"); Grandmother, Doris Carney "Gurney"; Aunt, Debra Carney; Sister, Jennifer Patterson; Aunt, Kathryn Everest; and numerous nieces, nephew, & cousins; Father, Kirk Whisenant (and family); and many, many wonderful friends.
Preceding him in death was his Grandaddy, Don Carney "Grandoodle".
Visitation will be held at Wade Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76013, Sunday June 5, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel. From the boy that tried so hard to get close to Asha and I on the dance floor at The Church, to the craziest two year relationship, to best friends. 27 years. My dearest, Jason... you will.never leave my heart. I know that when my time comes, you will be there to meet me screaming YEAH DUDE at my arrival. I love you, Jedward.
Traci, I will be here for you every day. I love you sweetheart.
Donna, Jason was lucky to have you for a mama. He loved you so.
Doris "Gurney", you welcomed me into your home and your family as one of your own. I love you, lady. You're an AMAZING person. Jason loved you beyond words (even though he swept you off your feet with a karate move). I'm here for all of you.
Much Love,
Mandow
