Jerry Horton Obituary

Jerry Jacqueline Horton

November 14, 1935 - July 23, 2024

Fort Worth, Texas - Jerry Horton passed away on July 23, 2024.

Graveside service: 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Miss Horton was born November 14, 1935 in Dallas, Texas to Thelma L. Horton and John W. Horton.

Jerry's passion for art led her to becoming a professional artist. For decades her art was displayed in the Dallas Times Herald and then at the Ft Worth Public Library. She was a caring person, always willing to volunteer a hand or stand against injustice.

Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and John Horton. She is survived by beloved friends, Lovella Verner & family, Carmen Garcia, the Brooks family, Rosa Abela, Cherrie Call, Beverly Wofford. Special thanks to Ft Worth Police officers, Healing Hands & Hospice nurses and chaplain, and the Brookdale Sikes Lake staff, all of whom lovingly and patiently cared for her.
