Jessie Mae Benton ARLINGTON -- Jessie Mae Benton of Arlington, beloved mother and sister, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. WAKE SERVICE: 7 to 8 p.m. Friday August 18, 2017 at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Arlington. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11 am at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas with the Pastor James P. Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Moore Memorial Jessie Coleman Benton was born December 23, 1947, in Mer Rouge, Louisiana, to the late Beatrice Johnson Coleman and Solomon Coleman, Sr., She was born and raised in Bastrop, LA. She attended and graduated from Morehouse High School. SURVIVORS: Jessie leaves to cherish her legacy, her children, Robin, Daisy (Daryle), Ronnie (Susan), Alex and Tina; one sister, Georgia (Thomas); a special friend, Mr. David Walker; her dearest friend of 40 years, Velma Armstrong; an adopted son, Robert Lee (Angela); two adopted daughters, Lisa Ward and Rosalind Aaron; 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loving friends and extended family.
