Ginny

I read "A Soldiers Prayer" at Ricks funeral and it gave us comfort. I hope that it will do the same for you.

A Soldiers Prayer

When I am called to serve, Dear Lord,

Wherever war may be,

Give me courage to fight the battles,

My country may ask of me.

Grace me with Your presence,

And know that I love You,

While I fight the enemy,

My country needs me to.

Help me protect my comrades,

As You expect me to,

And keep me in Your loving hands,

While I do what I must do.

I want to do my duty,

And to give the best in me,

To do what I've been called to do,

And protect our liberty.

And if, according to Your will,

I must give up my life,

Please bless with Your protecting hand,

My wife and family.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have had the pleasure of working with John on several projects with the City. He was a great guy to work with and an enjoyable person to just sit and talk to. Please accept these condolences for your loss and remember, with time the pain of your loss will diminish and what will be left are the fond and loving memories of a special man. God bless you and your family.

May God bless the family and nice memories will give you peace and comfort.

Prayers are sent to heaven;

"May God keep you in His care."

He's always here beside you

he's waiting in the wings;

to comfort and to guide you

and take away your pain.

You'll have more time together

it's a heavenly dream;

yes, God is always with us,

He's waiting in the wings.
