John Dool Obituary

John Otis "Sonny" Dool, 82, went to be with his heavenly father peacefully Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, after a short illness.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel in Kennedale. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a church or charity of choice.

John lived both in Fort Worth and Grand Prairie for most of his adult life. He was a resident of The Good Place in North Richland Hills. He married Flora Mae Sullivan on Nov. 1, 1946, in Fort Worth. John retired in 1987 after 40 years as a truck driver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bertie Dool; stepmother, Blanche Dool; his loving wife, Flora Mae Sullivan Dool in 1994; and sister, Marjorie Fields.

Survivors: Daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Gene Alexander of North Richland Hills, Glenda Dool and David Ansley of Grand Prairie and Johnnie and Greg Dillard of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Nathan Dool, Tyler Dool and Lauren Dillard; sister, Rose Marie Varner; brother- and sister-in-law, Charles and Bobbie Chapman; and extended family and friends.
