Brother "Big John" Hall has been blessing me with his wonderful voice and music since I accepted my Lord and Savior back in 1972. See you at "Home", John.

And he said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."

He was a TREMENDOUS gospel singer. I still have on cassette tape (somewhere) him singing "It's My Desire" on a REVIVALTIME broadcast. His rendition with just organ accompaniment is THE BEST of this song I ever heard

"Big John" Hall came many times to Mondovi and Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and blessed us with his beautiful bass singing voice as well as his words of wisdom, knowledge, and gifts of healing, as impressed by the Holy Spirit. We enjoyed having him as a guest in our home. A dear friend has gone to be with Jesus. It was a privilege for us and our family to have known John, a dear brother in the Lord. May God comfort the hearts of his family in their loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

"Big" John Hall a bass singer of bass singers. An inspiration to song evangelists like myself and a powerful voice of communication of the Gospel through song. Your recordings and your testimony has blessed and inspired my heart to sing and my voice to loudly and proudly proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God gave me a new song, and "Big"John Hall was an excellent and godly example of how to sing it. Take Care and God Bless, Rev. Christopher P. Adams, The Singing Chaplain

What a wonderful man!! I had the pleasure of singing with "Big John" on several occasions and I can tell you by personal experience, that there isn't and never was (to my knowledge) a more dedicated singer for the Gospel of Christ. He practiced what he sang. He will be missed!

I'm from Brazil, a Christian from the Assembly of God in Brazil and I'm a fan of John's voice. I still watch the Bills Gaither videos in which he participated.
I have a lot of songs where he was on my cell phone. May God always comfort the Family and make sure that Johm is with God and that one day we will see him!
The photo sent is with John participating in one of Bill Gaither's events ... This video of him on YouTube is what I see the most.

John and I first met in Anaheim, CA in 1975 at a Christian Booksellers Convention. I later moved to Texas and traveled with him all over the nation for several years as his accompanist. My years working with "Big" John were some of the best of my life and the source of many wonderful memories. We have remained friends and I'm pretty sure he's singing for his Master in Heaven right now.

Knew John as a child and later until adulthood. My family and I attended his Dad’s church on Bessie St. The last time I saw him was one Sunday having lunch with Pastor Nichols. What a voice. Wanda Peugh Henry Doyel.

Big John came back into our life and ministry in 2009 when came and sang for us at Bethel Church In Killeen, TX -- since that Sunday a special spiritual and emotional connection was established which has only grown stronger in recent years. His last time with us to sing was in July of this year....this service was live-streamed -- may have been his last concert; if not, one of the last. It turned out to be MORE than a concert as he spoke prophetically into our hearts and ministry! We were so blessed to be part of his wonderful life and ministry. Our church family will be lifting Judy and his family in our earnest prayers -- There won't be another "Big John" -- He will live on in our hearts as he sings around the great Throne of God!

He had a beautiful singing voice. I believe I heard him sing once in Daly City, CA in 1968. I’ve always enjoyed his rendition of “How Big is God.” Now he is singing that song over on the other side praising our great creator and Savior.

May he Rest In Peace. My grandfather Lee “Pop” Myres was the original bass singer for the Stamps Quartet in the late 20’s- early 30’s. They may have known each other. Pop was in radio in Dallas till late 50’s . Small world.
