IT is hard to believe that almost three years have passed since I lost my beloved Pastor. He was kind hearted, always had a big smile, always had time for each person no matter how busy he was. In other words as a Pastor he was awesome! My thoughts still go out to his Family on the loss of husband, father, and grandfather. As my Pastor he performed the Funeral service of my mother even though she was not a member of his congregation. What a loss to lose this wonderful man!

He was always there to help my family, whether it was the Noe or Newsome side and we love and thank him for that. He was a man of God and he will be missed. To the Conway family we send our sincere and heart felt condolences to you. Thank you again Brother John.

We are very sorry to hear of his passing. He was a very kind and pleasant person. He asked Laura and I to talk with him a few times
before our ceremony. He wanted to be sure we were ready for a lifetime together. As of right now Laura and I have been married over 21 years. We have four beautiful children and a wonderful foster son. The foundation of our marriage belongs to Laura and I, but part of the cement that binds our foundation was put there by Pastor John Conway and the words he instilled in us about what marriage is and should be.
Gods speed Pastor Conway!

We had the huge honor to sing at Bro. John's church Sunday and what an honor it was! Bro. John is what a true pastor is suppose to be. He was always smiling, even though he told us he wasn't feeling well, he smiled and smiled! We went away blessed by being in his presence and the presence of the Holy Spirit! He always made us feel welcome and wanted, not jealous that we were taking his time from the pulpit! Even though we did not see him very often, our hearts broke to hear of the loss of this fine man. Of course, he is smiling all over Heaven, grief is only for those left behind! But we will have eternity to spend with him, so it's just a temporary "see you later"! The Rose City Quartet

Heaven got a very special person and it just became an even more fun place! Pastor John will always be remembered as having so much love for the Lord, people and life. Everyone who has ever met him has been changed forever for the better. Sermons will never be matched because only Pastor John could be humble, humorous and convicting all at the same time. Hilltop has big shoes to fill. Never met a more real person who could preach, teach and entertain more spontaneously and with conviction and love. The Holy Spirit spoke straight through his heart. He had a gift, not just a calling. A gift unmatched by any pastor I've ever had the blessing to know.

If you occupied the same room with John, it was impossible to leave without a smile on you face. He was a wonderful man and huge asset to the community. I feel honored to have known him. We will miss him terribly but I know there are smiles all over Heaven! RIP, John.

I will never forget how Brother John came to know one another... In the summer of 1987, he picked me to be on his sponsored baseball team. I'd never played before. I was awful. But he and Darryl Mathis gave me a chance and I got to play. I was still awful but I will never forget the opportunity

Pastor John was an inspirational and loving friend to my beloved husband, Jim Leinen, who went Home to be with the Lord on May 9, 2013. Pastor John spoke at Jim's funeral. The Lord is merciful, as he took both Jim and Pastor John peacefully in their sleep. I envision a Heavenly reunion! I remember Pastor John with love and gratitude for the good friend he was to Jim and the times he prayed with us. My heart goes out to Cindy, his family and Church. Diane Leinen

Brother John was a true friend to so many. He led innumerable people to Christ. He was my pastor and my friend. The first time I came to Hilltop Family Church and listened to him preach I knew that I was where God wanted me to be. His words came from the Holy Spirit and he didn't want anyone to miss being a child of God. He will be missed so very much but he is dancing with our Lord! Prayers for his family who also give to so many so unselfishly and prayers for our church.

We will all miss Pastor John. My daughter introduced us to her church and Pastor John. He made us feel right at home the very first time we went. He was always smiling, laughing, loving and inspiring. His sermons were so wonderful and his occasional joke left everyone in stitches.
The world has lost a wonderful man, but we know he has joined the all-wonderful God.

you entered our hearts a year ago and made some life time impressions on me as well as for my grandson Bailey. There are no words to tell how much you will be missed, or words to tell the family how much they are loved. I know you have a much better seat now to watch over your flock, a more shinier suit of armor to fight battles for our Lord, We love ya!!

Cindy, Brandon, Jennifer and Jeanne, words cannot express how sorry we are to hear about Little John. He has left this world way to soon. I can still remember running around the races with Brandon and Jennifer and listening to his stories and loving his laugh. I am sure Dad and Little John are having a great time reunited in heaven. Just know our love and compassion is with all of you during this difficult time. Lori Benge and Jeannie Benge

Pastor John walked and talked the Gospel of Christ! He was "real" and through his love and teaching, he loved and accepted everyone but held us accountable so that we could share in salvation with Johnnie! He made a big impact on my life through his ministry and friendship, and the example he set for all of us. My heart aches for our loss and for all of his loved ones and Hilltop Family Church but we rejoice knowing he is dancing and and singing with Jesus!!! We love you Pastor John and all of your family!!!
