Joshua Carter Obituary
Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson. Interment: Pleasant Point Memorial Park in Lillian. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Joshua was born July 30, 1988, in Arlington. He graduated from Mansfield High School in 2006. Joshua was a talented amateur film director and was attending college at TCC South Campus to fulfill his dreams of becoming a great film director. He was employed by Chili's restaurant in Mansfield.
Joshua was preceded in death his grandparents, Lewis and Pattie Williams of Alvarado.
Survivors: Parents, Peggy and Jim Pierce of Mansfield and Brett and Holly Carter of Weatherford; grandparents, Sandy Carter of Lillian and Larry Carter of Cleburne; great-grandparents, Harold and Sarah Casstevens of Lillian; beloved girlfriend, Kaycee Craig; siblings, Andrew, David, Jessica, Hunter, Baili, Kylar and Garrett; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Yesterday was a day that I will never forget. Even though it´s now been 13 years since you moved on to your new home in God´s kingdom, I still feel your presence every day. I cherish the memories you gave me! You will always be my first and only grandson. I´m so glad that I joined the Turtle Creek Chorale 13 years ago yesterday but saddened that I never had the chance to tell you. Now, I know that you are with me for every concert. You do not know me I am a friend of Larry Carter's & I just want to say that I read both Josh's blog & Matt's on a daily basis. Loosing a loved one is never an easy thing to have to go thru I lost a father at the age of 25 it took "A Long Long Time" to get threw it but we all must go on living.

Thank you for sharing your story in the paper today (Sunday). it really hit home for me as I am a parent volenteer at our high school & we just did the Shattered Dreams Program,until I had seen it I hadn't really had a drunk driving accident hit home for me. Josh taught my kids how to skateboard. When my boys, Christopher and Chase, first started learning, Josh would come down and give them pointers. That is my most prominent memory...Josh giving expert advise to my skateboarding kiddos!! (They listened and watched the pro diligently). Josh was a wonderful young man, that everyone is going to miss greatly. I only knew him through high school, but everytime I remember theatre I remember him. I was fortunate to have met Josh because he was a friend of my son. I would drop Wesley off at Josh's house so they could go skateboarding. When we would go in to Chili's to eat he was usually our waiter and he would cut up with us and make us laugh. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. I am so sorry for your loss.
