Fort Worth, Texas - Joyce Ann Fink, deeply loved by all who knew her, was called home to our Lord on October 15th, 2024. Born on June 4th, 1957, in Waco, Texas, Joyce lived a life filled with kindness, faith, and a gentle spirit. She is survived by her devoted partner, Bob Cason, with whom she shared 15 wonderful years.
A proud graduate of Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) with a degree in Journalism, Joyce found her calling as an Obituary Editor at McClatchy, where her McClatchy family cherished her warmth and care. Her loving, gentle laugh and compassionate nature touched everyone she worked with. She always took the time to reach out to her friends, never wanting them to miss anything that would make them happy. Whether it was a special event or something close to their hearts, Joyce ensured everyone felt remembered and loved. She kept us all up to date on current events and made sure we were always in the loop, showing her deep care for each of us. She had a love for old television shows, flamingos, wide variety of music.
Though Joyce had no children, her heart was full of love for the many people she embraced along her journey. She lived for years at the Grace Mission in Fort Worth before joining Bob at his residence, where she passed peacefully at home, leaving behind a lasting legacy of love, grace, and a life well lived.
Viewing will be 2:00pm - 2:45 pm Wednesday, Oct 23rd. and the Graveside service will be at 3:00 pm.

I worked with Joyce at the Star-Telegram but she was so much more than a co-worker to us. She is part of our family. She made us laugh every single day with her funny stories and hilarious rants. She would always say good morning and have a nice evening to us all. We will miss her so much.

Joyce...my dear Joyce...you are going to be so missed! I will always remember our talks, listening to the same music together while we worked together the last 6 1/2 years, laughing at some of the crazy things going on, discussing our favorite shows and our favorite things in general. Thank you for being such a beautiful human being and thank you for being a friend to my Chas and loving her Bean :). I love you and forever will remember you!........To Bob, I am so very deeply sorry for your loss! Joyce thought the world of you and loved you so very much. She would always tell me all about the escapades you all would go on. You have a beautiful angel up in heaven watching over you now. Take care of yourself and God Bless!

I never met her, but she certainly had a lot of wonderful friends around her. Bob and Joyce had a very special relationship and she will be missed very much.

Joyce and I didn't have a perfect relationship, but we always liked to go places together. We enjoyed each others company inside the house and out. And we talked about what each other wanted to get when we went out. I loved her so much.
