Karen Shawn Obituary
March 21, 1958 - April 26, 2024
Mission, Texas - Karen Womack Shawn passed away Friday at DRH Hospice in Edinburg. She was in the presence of her husband Michael and son Matthew.
Karen was born in Fort Worth and grew up in Haltom City, Texas and Forest Park, Illinois. She was the daughter of Charles and Robbie Womack who both preceded her in death. Karen was the granddaughter of Granvel and Geneva Luckey who also preceded her in death. It is sweet to know that they are reunited once again.
She loved to line dance and made many friends in the Azle Boot Scooters and the Retama Village Line Dancers. Karen also loved traveling with Michael in their motor home. She was involved in the First Global Methodist Church of Mission, playing handbells and participating in the Face to Face ministry.
Karen is survived by her husband Michael; son Matthew Roberson and his wife Martha; stepchildren Matthew Hollinsworth and Kelly Cox; grandchildren Maegan and Micah Roberson, and Gavin and Grayson Cox; sister Kathy Vogel and her husband Gordon; and many other loving family members and friends.
Viewing will be from 6-8pm on Sunday, May 5th at Greenwood Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth 76107. Her celebration service will be at 2:30pm on Monday, May 6th at the same location.

I met Karen at a St. Patrick´s Day dance at Bentsen Palm Village RV park a few years ago. We both enjoyed line dancing and a friendship was born! It´s was a blessing to know such a beautiful person; always kind and giving and so full of life. Her excitement for life was contagious. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family.
