Fred, Chad and Tiffany,

I wish I had know Kay passed away. I just found out. She had been emailing me and they just stopped...I haven't been able to get ahold of anyone. I loved Kay. She was spunky and full of life! Such a blessing to everyone! I know she's in Heaven with Renee keeping God busy....:) I'm sooo sorry! Please keep in touch. ([email protected])

Just heard today that Kay already went to heaven. I was somewhat relieved to hear that she is free from pain and happy in the arms of Jesus. My sadness is for Fred and all those who were impacted day in and day out by unique and special Kay. May our God bless you with His tremendous peace and comfort. I remember her LIFE and her fun smile.

Kay made such an impact this past summer at Jason Schmidt's welcome home party. I walked away after speaking with her and felt like I was in the presence of God. I knew she was so close to Him that I felt closer just by being near her. She taught well how to live in the face of what the world calls disease in such a victorious manner that it was obvious God is the victor of her life. She did not leave this earth without making a lasting impression on many and that is such victory. We love you Fred and are praying.

What can I not say about Kay... but that she was a beautiful, wonderful woman of FAITH. And boy did she love Jesus!! She loved on me and my kids anytime she could... She loved her husband and kids! Her encouraging words and fighting spirit not letting bad news get her down helped me see that God was bigger than any disease. Thank you Kay for teaching me the great things of the Lord!

I opened a prayer request last year expecting something grim, but instead, was flooded with the bright Light of Heaven." Was this woman for real?" I had to wipe away a few tears of shame of my own self-pity and read again Kay's every word, including the, "Smile 'cause you never know who..." Her honesty, and enduring faith, love for everyone-backed up with kind deeds and motivating words, set a standard, that remains so winsome, who could resist following her valiant fight with devoted prayers? I treasure every word she wrote back to me in our exchanges. Thank you Fred and Tiffani, for not cutting us off when she could no longer communicate. You have that same Faith, and selflessness. May the Lord Himself strengthen you Fred, Tiffani, and each family member, as you miss her earthly presence.

Sometimes we are called to walk paths that we would not choose to walk. We often wonder why God has put this in our life, but I have found that sometimes the greatest witness of the power of Jesus is not what paths we walk, but the way we walk them. Countless lives, including mine, have been touched by Kay's attitude as she went through these last 3 years. She chose to walk victorious, content that God was in control. I am blessed to have had the privilege of knowing Kay. Love to your entire family!

Kay was the strongest woman I have ever met. She had a faith that was unmeasurable. Even against overwhelming odds, she fought the fight and never gave up. We should all strive to be even half the woman she was. I am glad to have known her. She's singing with the angels now and embracing her Lord Jesus in person.
