LaNelle Michael Obituary
Funeral: 4 p.m. Friday in Ft. Worth at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3621 Tulsa Way. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
LaNelle Michael was born Oct. 10, 1923, in Mexia. She was a 1941 graduate of Paschal High School where she was a cheerleader and involved in many activities. She was a former Miss Flame of Fort Worth. As both an artist and lover of art, she was a founding member of the Fort Worth Art Guild. LaNelle was also a hospital volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. John Anthony Michael Jr.
Survivors: Son, John Anthony Michael III and wife, Connie, of Fort Worth; daughter, Becky Grimland and husband Ric, of Fort Worth; sister, Betty Barrera of Granbury; grandchildren, Sean, Courtney and Whitney Grimland, and Melinda K. White and husband, Sam; great-grandchildren, John Wayne "Duke" Michael, Tiffany and David White; and 10 nieces and nephews and their children. She was also blessed with many close friends.
