Michael James Lyons

Michael James Lyons, 64, of North Bergen, N.J., and formerly of West New York, N.J., passed away on Saturday October 12, 2019, at Palisade Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jersey City on September 19, 1955 to Joseph R. Lyons Sr. and the late Adeline Theresa (Barracato) he lived in North Bergen for more than 30 years and before that in West New York. Survivors include his beloved father, Joseph, his dear sister Donna Neary and husband Carlos, niece Madison Neary and fiancé Nathan Perez, cousins Stephen Barracato and Teri Powers, godmother Jean Georgetti, goddaughter Jennifer Lowney, godson Frankie Fawcett and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was predeceased by his dear brothers Joseph and Bobby. Michael's life celebration will include visiting on Wednesday October 16, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd., Union City, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday October 17, 2019 at St. Joseph of the Palisade Church, West New York at a time to be announced. Friends and family may begin gathering at 9:00 am at the funeral home before services. Michael will be laid to rest at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton, N.J.
