Lilymae was a great person to work with at Souder Elementary. She was a true friend to me. She was there to mentor me 17 years ago in my first year of teaching. She brought laughter everyday. I have thought about her often through the years and still have the EZ grader she gave me. I remember her telling me that every teacher needs one. My heart and prayers go out to the family. Lilymae was a truly amazing person.

To Lilymae's Family,
I'm so sorry to hear about Lillymae, she talked about her family all the time at school. I learned so much about teaching from her, especially how to laugh with my students. In later years she was my favorite sub if I had to be out. I wish I could be there tomorrow. I will miss you Lilymae "well cut my legs off and call my shorty" Noble.

Oh Lilymae! I'm smiling right now thinking of all the laughter we shared in the halls of Souder. I'm sure you have God grinning already.

Lilymae and I worked together at Souder. She was very dependable and could handle children of all ages. She was a good teacher and her students needs always came first. We have lost a good friend.

Lilymae amazed me. She had a way of talking to children (and adults, too) that caused them to let down their guard. I'm pretty sure I never had a conversation with her that didn't end with me laughing. I will miss her.

Lilymae was my first mentor and coworker when I came to teach 5th grade at Souder in 1987. She was an amazing lady and wonderful teacher--lively and youthful despite her years. Although I only worked with her 5 years, she had a wonderful impact on me, and she will truly be missed. Although I cannot be there Friday in person, I will be there in spirit.
