August 17, 1945 - September 14, 2022
Fort Worth, Texas - On September 14, 2022, Linda Jeanne (Thelen) Bavousett passed away at the age of 77 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was born August 17, 1945 in Ft. Worth. Linda lived her entire life in or near Ft. Worth, graduated from Paschal High School in 1963, and attended UNT. After graduating with a BA in education, she got a teaching position with Ft. Worth ISD. She was a 6th grade science teacher and attained a Master's Degree in Earth Sciences.
Linda was an active member of First Congregational UCC Church since her early teens when the family moved to Westcliff. Linda loved arts and crafts, especially knitting. She had many dogs and cats through the years and was very active in numerous church activities including the bell choir. She had a large circle of friends and loved to travel. She loved her friends, family and pets, all of whom loved to be in her presence.
Linda was proceeded in death by her parents, Charles W. and Letitia F. Thelen. She is survived by her brother, Gregory F. Thelen and wife Diana Gale, sister-in-law Kathleen Volkaert and husband Redd, nephew Sean Thelen, niece Erin Thelen and her fiancé Ethan Ames and their daughter Nora, and numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Friday, September 23, followed by a reception at First Congregational UCC, 4201 Trail Lake Drive, Ft Worth, 76109. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to an animal rescue organization of your choice.

Linda was a beautiful person. She cared about people, animals, the planet and right and wrong. She was ahead of her time. An evolved human and any of us that was counted as a friend felt honored for it. I miss her, I miss her.
