Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mother was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Beck; granddaughter, Denise Lilly; brothers, Bud, Earl and Carl Howard; and sister, Beulah Howard.
Lorah and J.T. married June 7, 1931, and celebrated their golden wedding anniversary by repeating their vows. They lived in Fort Worth from 1946 until they retired to Lake Whitney in 1977. Lorah was an outstanding cook and was well-known for her pecan pies, which she could bake at the drop of a hat.
Survivors: Daughter, Chris Harper (Gary); brother, Everett Howard; grandsons, Tor Harper (Terry) and Everett Harper (Whitney); granddaughter, Lorah Wooddall; great-grandsons, Beckett, Jason, and Joe (Crystal); great-great-granddaughter, Jailyn; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Johnny Ray Holland (deceased)was my husband and he attributed Laura and J.T. with instilling worth and self confidence in him after he went to work with them at a early age.always said Chris was like a younger sister and thought a lot of her.
