I loved taking care of Lucy at West Side Campus of Care during her stay there. I worked the night shift and there were several night Lucy would come to the nurse's staion to have a cup of coffee. Each and everyone of us who took care of her loved her dearly. She is missed very much.

Lucy was one of a kind! I had the joy of working with her at the Corps of Engineers, and we certainly had some fun times! She always livened up the crowd with her crazy stories and contagious laughter. The last time I saw Lucy was back in the fall of 2000 when my mother was in the same assisted living facility as Lucy. I passed Lucy in the hallway one afternoon as I went to visit my mom. I absolutely couldn't believe it was her, as I hadn't seen her for many years. I turned around, knelt down to her and began talking with her. The great thing was that she remembered me after all those years! From that time forward, each time I went to visit my mom I made it a point to visit with Lucy.
Lucy loved her family dearly and talked nonstop about her girls, as she was so proud of them. I'm sure Lucy has the laughter rolling up in heaven by now. My thoughts are with you all at this time, but please know that Lucy touched and inspired many hearts, including mine. God Bless You All.
