Faye Griffith was born Aug. 9, 1934, in Paris, Texas, to William and Lucile Lane. She was raised in Fort Worth. She married Chester Smith, who preceded her in death. In 1977, she married Allen W. Griffith of Michigan. Faye and Allen owned Griffith Trucking together for 30 years and most recently drove for Vista Wall of Terrell. They made their home in Kaufman after residing in California for 20 years.
Faye never met a stranger and always had a cheerful attitude and a smile for everyone. She was known for her generosity, which included making meals for a soup kitchen and delivering hundreds of home-baked cookies to friends and associates across the country at Christmas. Her greatest pride and joy was her family, who loved her dearly and will miss her very much. They will always carry her love in their hearts.
