Diana McCune Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coker-Mathews Funeral Home on Feb. 13, 2026.
Diana Lynn Hannabach McCune, age 77, of Greenville, Texas, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026. She went to her eternal home just before 1pm after a cancer diagnosis in early January 2026 that she battled bravely with faith and love. Diana was born in Gary, Indiana on April 18, 1948 to Frank & Lois Hannabach.

Diana began her remarkable career in the automotive industry in Mt. Pleasant, Texas where she met, fell head over heels, and married the love of her life, a true soul mate Larry McCune on June 27, 1987.

They blended her 2 sons and 1 daughter along with Larry's 3 sons to begin a new life and family together. Diana always took pride in making a house a home and truly had a God given gift at doing it perfectly.

Diana retired from the automotive industry in 2014 after working in the industry for over 30 years. She enjoyed many hobbies: quilting, crafting, sewing, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. Diana was a one of a kind type of woman. She could only be described by anyone lucky enough to know her as a precious lady who always had a beautiful smile on her face. She was the epitome of kind and non judgmental with a bit of attitude when needed type of matriarch anyone would spend a thousand lifetimes to become. She had such sharp wit with an absolute hilarious side that truly was the most admirable balance to her undeniable sweet soul.

Diana was preceded in death by her father, Frank, and her mother Lois.

Survivors include her husband Larry McCune of Greenville; 5 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, Jim Wyers of Crandall, Texas, Mark Wyers of Istanbul, Turkey, Mike and Rita McCune of Anna, Texas, Scott and Kelly McCune of Kaufman, Texas, and Andrew and Katrina McCune of Royse City, Texas; 1 daughter Kristyn Oliver and fiancée Kenny Thomas of Waco; 7 grandchildren, Bailee Randolph and husband Jacob, Rhett Davis and wife Alexus, Kylee Davis and fiancée Cody, Aubree McCune and fiancée Cane, Tysen McCune and fiancée Chloe, Caden McCune, and Kinsley McCune; and 3 great grandchildren, Brooks, Blake and Bennett Randolph; and 1 brother Karl D. ''Corky'' Hannabach of San Diego, CA and numerous other relatives and friends.

Diana is now free from all pain and at rest peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus. Diana is now reunited with her loved ones that have gone on to eternity before her and her family is beyond confident that she was and will always be a true angel of God. She will be watching over all of her earthbound loved ones until the time comes when all family and friends reunite once again.
