Mable Cappers Obituary
Funeral: 4 p.m. Saturday at Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney. The Rev. Durwood Rutland will officiate. Burial: Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney.
Mable Mardell "Biggie" Cappers was born May 3, 1915, in Whitney to Zachriah Taylor and Cornie Bell Worley Peacock. She married Birt Cappers in 1939 in Whitney. She worked at the state hospital in Carlsbad. She was preceded in death by her husband, Birt Feb. 25, 1978; daughter, Barbara O'Neal; great-grandson, Bubba Heath; and great-granddaughter, Jeannie Earley.
Survivors: Daughter, Shirley Harwell Lain of Cleburne; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
