Mack Cohn Obituary

Mack Cohn, a beloved husband, father and best friend, died peacefully early Thursday morning, Dec. 27, 2012, during his 71st year. Service: 11 a.m. Monday in the Beth-El Section of Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: Mr. Cohn will lie in state on Sunday afternoon at Robertson Mueller Harper where family and friends will gather in the Great Room from 2 to 4 p.m. Honorary bearers will be Aileen Horan, Arnold Gachman, Neal Johnston, Jack Miller, Roy Rimmer, Henry Simon, Art Squires and Jim Teague. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, consideration of contributions to the Mayo Clinic or to the American Diabetes Association, in his memory, is suggested. A lifelong resident of Fort Worth, Mack was born Oct. 12, 1941, the son of Raymond Eli and Florence Lefkovitz Cohn. He was a graduate of New Mexico Military Institute and Cornell University. Mack was founder and former owner of Amusement Ticket Service, now Ticketron/Ticketmaster, and Carey Limousines. He was a member of Beth-El Congregation, the Fort Worth Jaycees and the Rotary Club of Fort Worth. Mack also served as executive V.P. of the Miss Texas Pageant. His family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to Vickie Davis, Dr. Mary Milam and Dr. Catherine Colquitt for the care given and many kindnesses shown to Mack. Survivors: In addition to his wife, of 38 years, Linda Dashner Cohn, Mack is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Stuart Cohn.

Jennifer and I would like to thank everyone for thier kind words. We are better today because of Mack and have so many memories to help us throughout the coming years.He was one of a kind and a hard act to follow. What a great friend he was to our Mom and Dad. You knew whenever and whatever the occasion there was going to be fun had by all and stories to tell. We are sure Billy couldn't wait to catch up after all these years and Mom will just be shaking her head. He was one of a kind, friend to so many.
