Lindeman on March 10, 1919, at their home in the Garden District of New Orleans, La. She enjoyed growing up in both New Orleans and Winnetka, Ill. After graduating from New Trier High School in Winnetka, she attended Wellesley College for two years. In 1939 she married the love of her life, Robert B. Mathieson of Kenilworth, Ill., and moved to West Virginia and Pennsylvania. In 1953, Robert and Margaret moved to Houston with their three daughters, Anne, Barbara and Mary, and where their son, Stephen, was born in 1960. Robert died in 1965 and Margaret returned to college at the University of Houston and earned her BA and MA in English literature. She moved to Huntsville to teach in the Windham school district, part of the Texas Department of Corrections and was employed there for over 25 years. While living in Huntsville, she was active at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and after retirement enjoyed her literary club and sewing and was proud to become a member of the Order of the Daughters of the King. In 2002, she moved to Weatherford to be near her growing family. This remarkable lady outlived her three younger sisters, her husband and her son, Stephen. Survivors: Daughters, Margaret Anne Droste (Carl) of Weatherford, Barbara Jeanne Bowersox (Thomas) of Montgomery and Mary Louise Mathieson of Weatherford; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
