Fort Worth, Texas - Our dear Maria Lara Eddington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 86.
Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2025, in Greenwood Funeral Home's Memorial Suite B, 3344 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in Greenwood's Live Oak Room, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Maria was born on April 7, 1939, to Alejos Lara and Delphenia Ramirez in Ozona, Texas.
Maria faithfully served in the Church's music ministry and women's Bible study fellowship. She was known for her creativity, kind heart, uplifting words, and unwavering devotion to prayer. Her greatest joy was found in serving God and loving her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alejos Lara and Delphenia Ramirez; husband, Buford C. Eddington; daughter, Thelma L. Munoz; siblings, Adolfo Lara, Alicia Munoz, Reynaldo Lara, Alejos Lara, Teodora Diaz, Anita Naranjo, Esperanza Martinez, Cathy Jojola, Joe Lara, Ofelia Lara.
Maria is survived by her son, Samuel Esparza; son, Daniel Esparza; sister, Margarita (Cookie) Sanchez; and granddaughter, Melissa Y. Esparza.
