I just discovered this web site and I am overwhelmed with thanks and gratitude for the messages you all have left. I have never experienced the heart break and sorrow that I am feeling now. Life without my husband is very painful. Mark was my best friend, protector, the father of my only child, and my partner for life. I am trying to find the place in my heart that lets me be happy for Mark because he is with Jesus but I am struggling with my selfish feelings of wanting him here with Courtney and I. I hope you all know how much your kind words and memories of Mark help Courtney and I to make it during this difficult time. Thank you for loving Mark.

Tye and Courtney,
I was extremely sad to hear of Marks passing, I know he fought a long and hard battle never giving up, thats the kind of man Mark was. I have never known a more kinder man nor a more passionate one in all he did. I had the privilege of working with Mark for several years and I know he will be greatly missed here. My thoughts and prayers go out to both of you, Mark spoke about you two often, you were the loves of his life you could here it in his voice and see it in his eyes.

Tye & Courtney;
I had the extreme pleasure to know Mark for more than 20 years. Mark was the first person that I met at Delta Air Lines. I met Mark on the Airtrans February 14, 1983. It was my first day on the job and Mark's third. I learned quickly that Mark was a very open and sincere person, more so than just about anyone else that I have met. I also remeber that Mark was a strong person and I know that Mark faced his battle bravely and I have no doubt that he gave it his all. We all at Delta will miss Mark greatly. Delta is not the same without him. Rest in peace, Mark!

Tye and Courtney
My thoughts and prayers go out to you. Mark was a special person with whom I had the pleasure to work with at Delta. Mark took great pride when talking about Courtney as she grew older. Knowing Mark's intensity I now have a new understanding for the word courage.
May God bless.

Tye and Courtney,
My heart breaks for your loss. Mark was a wonderful man. I looked forward to his smile when he brought Courtney to her ortho appointments. His love for the two of you was so wonderful. GOD has a special rose in his garden and I am blessed to have known him. The dignity and courage which all of you have shown is an inspiration to all of us. Your family's example will stay in my heart forever.

Mark Callaway came into my life and many others with his great smile, his attitude, his outwardly walk with the Lord, his God given musical talent along with his friendship to others. I will always remember Mark for these qualities and the opportunity I had to be his friend. It is comforting Mark will spend an eternity with God in heaven and that we will get the chance to be with our friend once again some day. We are praying for his family and friends.

Mark was my hero! I will forever treasure the memories of our times together. He took such joy in teaching me to play the guitar... and what fun we had playing and singing together! My life was changed by his influence and friendship. God bless you, Tyrene and Courtney. What a treasure you have lost!

There has never been a more special person than Mark Callaway. If you knew him you loved him. I mowed my dad's yard for years just in hopes of getting a glimpse of his smile.
