To the Baldwin Familey, I have been in the Military and gone across the big pond for some time. Richard Casarez has kept, intouch with me, and just told me about Mike. Im sorry he left us so early. I went to school with Mike from 1st-7th grade until we moved to Hurst. Mike Eagan was right about all the time we all ran the streets of Watauga, and played both base ball and foot ball. I played base ball with his dad as our coach and loved every minute of it. When I moved to Hurst, I never left Watauga. I always was back and fourth. Even though we lost touch after we left High School, I would still see him down at the street dances in Ft.Worth. Any way even though he isnt hear anymore, hes still in my thoughts. Tim

I want to express my sympathy to all of the famliy of Mike Baldwin. I, like alot of the guest, grew up in the same neighborhood with Mike. My favorite memory of him will always be Mike walking across the High school graduation stage to a "roar" from the audience. He was truly loved by all.

I'm so sorry for everyone who knew Mike and loved him. I'm another one of the lucky people who have known Mike since first grade. I saw him just a few months ago after many years. He recognized me immediately and ran across the yard and gave me a huge bear hug. He said sweet things about all our mutual friends and told me kind things he remembered about me. He had nothing but loving things to say about life, family, work, friends and God, and I can remember thinking what a sweet soul he grew into besides being such a funny, vibrant wonderful and unforgettable friend from childhood. I always hoped I'd see him again in his mom's yard on my way home from work. I looked for him each time I passed by there. I will miss him for the rest of my life.

Words can't begin to express the sadness in our hearts over this terrible tragedy. I know the lives of everyone he touched will be changed for ever. I know Michael would want all of us to remember the good times we all shared and there were so many of them growing up through school and then our Northside days as well. If you were a part of that you will have many fun times to remember. He was and will always be a part of my family. He was Uncle Mikie to Christi and Bryson and will never be forgotten. He was not only a best friend but he was his brother for life to my brother Kevin and my parents looked at him as another son.We just have to hold on to the thoughts of the man we knew and the memories of the times we shared. I could not ask for a better friend in life.

My sincere condolences,
I rememeber, before we moved across the street, my cousin Bruce telling Mike that he better hide his toys from Randy and me because, we would break them. Well, he broke more of my toys. We were always together, inseperable like two best friends would be, along with Gary Line. I can't even count the number of times Mike and I spent plotting to get some cookies out of the Lines cookie jar. It was a Tony the Tiger cookie jar with one nostril bigger than the other. Don't ask me why I remember this. There are a ton of memories that I would like to share, but limited space here will not allow. Mike created, good, memories and there was always something exciting going on. He was a good ball player and his dad a good coach. Mike was, damn, competitive. Ask me or Gary,Yancey,Balderrama, the Cantwells,Ybarra's,Patino's,Finstad
s, all the local kids who would play street football or in our backyard. Since we had the biggests backyard, a lot of the games took place there. There is a song by Mark Wills, and in the song "19 something" there is a line that says "I was Roger Staubach in my backyard", Mike was always Roger 'the dodger" Staubach. Mike was a Great Quarterback and a Great Friend.
With love, sympathy and sincerity,
Michael Eagan
