Michael Leick Obituary

Michael Paul Leick, 44, of Bedford went home to be with Jesus on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, in the evening at home, surrounded by family and friends. Celebration of life: Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Michael's life at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, at Hillside Church 9915 Ray White Road, Keller, in the main auditorium. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family would cherish your memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or Horner-Premier Foundation, 1551 Corporate Drive, Irving, Texas 75038. Michael was born on April 28, 1967, in San Antonio, the youngest of two children of Henry and Judy Leick. Michael was married to Janna Perkins in Kirkland, Wash., on Oct. 15, 1988. They have two children. Mike attended Richland Community College. He lived in Texas for five years and was previously a longtime resident of Washington state. Micheal was employed at Verizon from 1996 to 2006. He later worked with High Speed Data as a project manager for three very successful years. Michael was a member of Hillside Community Church. He was a passionate bass angler and enjoyed golfing. He was predeceased by his father, Henry O. Leick Jr.; grandfather, Henry O. Leick Sr.; grandmother, Brunhilde Leick; grandfather, Roland Baetge; grandmother, Alma Baetge; father-in-law, Jim D. Perkins; mother-in-law, Charlotte; and brother-in-law, Matt Perkins. Survivors: Michael will be remembered by his loving wife and their sons, Brandon Michael Leick and Cameron Bryce Leick. He is also survived by his brother, Daryl L. Leick; sister-in-law, Sharon Zabica-Leick; niece, Emily Leick; nephew, Jordon M. Perkins; niece, Laura Perkins; uncle, Arvid Leick; aunt, Anne Leick; uncle, Fred Baetge; aunt, Dorothy Baetge; and many beloved cousins.
