February 20, 1981 - July 8, 2022
Arlington, Texas - 41 yr. old Michael Gene Sparks "Sparky", passed away July 8, 2022 at home from an apparent aneurysm.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Michael was born February 20, 1981 at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Baptized at South Oaks Baptist Church and graduated Kennedale High School in 1999. He dearly loved above all his cat, Miter Kitty: his great-grandmother: vacations with his mother and brother; family reunions; all the annual trips, river rafting and Indian Guides with his Poppi; the band Tool; Tool concerts (especially in New York); his work family at SpringHill Suites and Hampton Inn Suites; playing jokes on family and work family; helping people; and furnishing food and water for stray animals.
Michael is survived by his mother, Annette Love; brother and wife, Chance and Magan Cooke; niece, Chloe Cooke; nephew, Chance Cooke Jr.; grandparents, Gordon and Wannie Rainey; aunt and uncle, Dianna and Bart Snow; cousins, LaShey Pratt, Morgan Lowe, Dylan Rainey and Motley Pratt; great-aunt and uncle, Wease and Joe Harden; and many extended cousins and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, ALB and Anna Payne and Dan and Ann Rainey; uncle, G.G. Rainey; and great-uncle, Arthur Payne.

I love you bro I'm so glad I stopped by on Wednesday the 6th when I was in town from Virginia you were one of my best friends growing up. So glad I made it a point to come see you brother rest in peace.

First I'd like to offer my condolences to you all, hugs.
I don't want to sound cliche, but Mike had a heart of gold. He would help anyone anyway he could if he was able to. His laughter was contagious for sure. He loved his family so much, and told me so much about you all every time we spoke. We'd often talk about just the goofiest random things. One time we were talking, video chatting on FB and I saw his baseball?pics I believe it was, and other pics of when he was younger. Oh man the conversations we had. How goofy he said he looked etc. I was like no you didn't and he'd say.... well we all know what he said I'm sure Lol.... Mike rock on, because I know you're up there jamming out to Tool kickin' it. Anyone who knew you, you brought joy into there lives and touched their hearts and left an imprint for sure. I know you did mine. I love ya man. Rock on ... Until we meet again.
