Myrtle Johana Dolejsi
April 17, 1937 - January 14, 2022
Arlington, Texas - Myrtle Johana Andersen Dolejsi, 84, passed away on January 14, 2022 in Arlington.
Myrtle was born on April 17, 1937 to John and Myrtle Serpas Andersen in New Orleans, Louisiana. She grew up in the St. Bernard area. Myrtle graduated from high school in May 1953. She graduated in May 1957 in a Class of 112 with an R.N. Nursing degree from Charity Hospital, New Orleans, Louisiana. On the 26th of November, she married Richard Dolejsi in the Catholic church in St. Bernard, Louisiana. Myrtle loved the field of nursing, worked in Louisiana, South Dakota, Indiana, Ohio, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas as a Registered Nurse.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents; and two of her children, Dean and Danita Dolejsi.
Survivors: She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard Dolejsi; son, Dave Dolejsi; all of Arlington; brothers-in-law, John and Joan Dolejsi, Mitchell, South Dakota; and Arnold and Rosemary Dolejsi of Midwest City, Oklahoma; nephews, Bradley and Kerry.
The family would like to thank Brookdale Senior Living caregivers, Father Mike of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, and the hospice personnel for care that was given to Myrtle.
Services: A private burial service will be held for Myrtle and Danita Dolejsi Midsummer 2022 in Gun Barrel City, Texas.
