Wow is the only way that I can describe the life of this extroardinary man. If there ever was a true disciple of the Lord, look no farther than Bro. Blackstock. I remember the time he served me communion one service. He made me feel truly loved and accepted and glad to do the Lords' work. I also rememer the church under construction, and he along with two or three brethren would push that old scaffolding around. If I remember there were four or five sections to that monstrosity. He was always there to help whenever asked. Sis Blackstock you done a good job shaping him up to go to heaven. I thought you could use some humour. I love and miss you all so very much. Bro. Mark Hicks.

To all the Blackstock and Law family:

The gentle yet firm handshake always accompanied by a warm smile is the trademark of this true Christian gentleman. N.L. Blackstock may not be around to flash that signature smile or grasp your hand in greeting, but the memory and legacy will live on. He is getting ready to sit down at the feet of the King and his admonition is "come on over, the weary are at rest." Thanks for the Godly example. Steve and Donna McKeehan and family

Papaw,

A loving see you later to one of the sweetest man I have ever known. Your smiling face was the first one to greet us at Calvary sixteen years ago. My family fell in love with you and Granny that day. Words could never express our appreciation for all your love and kindness. You were a Father when I needed one and Papaw when my boys needed one. Your advise was always sound and full of wisdom. We love you and will miss you on this earth, but we will see you later. When I cross to the other side I will expect to see you there with my Mom and Dad with that beautiful smile on your face.

Thanks for giving so much of your self to the work of the Lord. Your reward is great.

Our love to You,

What more can be said about Bro. Blackstock that has not already been said. Such a kind and gentle man but yet firm when he needed to be. When you walked thought the doors at Calvary he was always there with a smile and a gentle hand shake that made you feel welcome who ever you were. We all will miss him greatly, but he has ran his race and finished to a greater prize, "eternity". As he said a few weeks ago either way I WIN. And to Sis. Blackstock and the family our thought and prayers are with you all.

Our hearts were saddened to hear of the passing of such a wonderful man. He always made us feel such a part of Calvary even though we hadn't been there in years, but when we visited we looked for his smiling face. Thank you Bro. and Sis Blackstock for the wonderful example you set for so many young people as well. Our son Brandon valued your friendship so much as well. May God bless you're family during this time of grief. Bill and Bev Daniels (Son of Buck and Annette Daniels)

I could never begin to repay the kindness and help and moral support of Narvel and Gloria. during my mother's illness and death and then again, during my dad's illness and surgery, they were by my side.

Narvel and Gloria are exactly what one should perceive as a true Christian. Both always giving of themselves and they were always the first to call or come by when you felt so lost and bewildered.

Patricia, Narvel, and Gloria, I sure am going to miss Narvel. My dad is especially going to miss him.

Dear Blackstock and Law families~

Words seem so hollow at a time like this. My heart goes out to each of you at this time. Bro. and Sis Blackstock have always been a part of my life. Like I told someone the other day, "I've known Bro. Blackstock as long as I've known my own parents!" He was truly an example of a true Christian man. If there ever was a "steady-Eddie" he was one. I read the other day that we should work to make "deposits" into other peoples instead of making "withdrawals". Bro. Blackstock made many deposits in many lives (mine included)....and very few if any withdrawals.

To my sister-in-law Patricia, my heart goes out to you. It's so hard losing a Daddy. Some people lose their "Fathers"....you and I have lost our Daddy's, but we'll see them again someday. To Sis Blackstock, Narvel, Reba, Dan, my nieces and nephews and Narvel's children, may God comfort you like no one else can. I love you and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers in the days to come.

Psalms 30:5 "....weeping may endure for the night, but joy cometh in the morning."

We love you.
